Currency Manipulation

A deliberate government action to influence the exchange rate of its currency to gain a competitive advantage in international trade, often by keeping its currency undervalued.

This practice is as old as international trade. The post-WWII Bretton Woods system attempted to prevent it, and modern global bodies like the IMF now monitor it closely.
